COLUMBUS GROVE – Lima Senior led nearly all game, and then Alex Meyer happened. Columbus Grove trailed 2-0 after a big first inning on Friday afternoon against visiting Lima Senior and continued to trail deep into the contest. Sophomore Alex Meyer opened the sixth inning with just a strikeout and a pop-out to show for his first two at bats for Columbus Grove.

KALIDA – One swing cemented Kalida’s season opening 12-1 win on Thursday night. Leading 6-0 in the bottom of the second inning, the Wildcat pitcher unleashed a mighty swing on an offering from McComb relief pitcher Brayden Welty that shot over the left field wall for a three run home run. OTTAWA – From Ottawa to Kent State in a golden flash. All-Ohio junior Madison McKee announced via social media on Thursday night she has verbally committed to play collegiately at Kent State University. This past season the 6’2 post averaged 12.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while helping lead the #1 ranked Titans to a state runner-up finish and a county record 28 wins in a season.
