WHITEHOUSE – Defense led the afternoon but two big strikes decided the outcome. Ottawa Glandorf and Anthony Wayne operate defensive minded programs. Saturday afternoon both squads showcased just that. Late in a scoreless first half, Anthony Wayne sophomore Kiera Rouser found a spot to slip through the Titan defense. Rouser perfectly struck an offering through traffic seconds later to give the Generals a 1-0 lead.

OTTAWA – 4,689 days. The last time Kalida’s boys soccer team defeated Ottawa Glandorf the calendar read October 12th, 2013. On Friday night the visiting Wildcats opened their 2026 campaign with a quartet of second-half goals. Not only did the win secure Kalida’s first win on the road in the series since 2010. It also spoiled O-G senior night. The game remained deadlocked in a scoreless tie through the first 60 minutes. Then the road Cats broke into the scoring column with 21:31 remaining.

GLANDORF – After five straight seasons making state, Ottawa Glandorf will undoubtedly have high hopes for their 2026 campaign. Last season the Titans fell in the state semifinals 6-2 to eventual state champion Cincinnati Summit Country Day. Titans announced in 2025 state semifinal “When the season opened last year I’m not sure many people thought we would get to the state level, but the girls worked hard and we got there,” said O-G head coach Michelle Maag.
