Five-year follow-up results from the phase III KEYNOTE-564 trial (NCT03142334) demonstrate sustained disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) improvements with adjuvant pembrolizumab (Keytruda) compared with placebo in patients with clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) at increased risk of recurrence. The findings, published in Annals of Oncology, represent the fourth prespecified interim analysis of the trial with a minimum follow-up of 60 months.

Epidemiologic models project that pancreatic cancer will become the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality in the United States by 2030. In 2026, an estimated 67,500 US adults will receive a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, with 52,700 deaths and a 5-year survival rate of 13% across all stages.

Survey data gathered in late August 2026 from pharmacy directors and clinical leadership at NCCN Member Institutions show that 100% of responding academic cancer centers are experiencing an active shortage of at least one anti-cancer drug.
