FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Today is a First Alert Weather Day as we are tracking the chance for strong to severe storms later this evening. We did see a few isolated showers earlier this morning, but tonight’s threat was always going to yield more of a chance for severe weather over this morning. We are at a Level 3 of 5 risk tonight, with the main concern being damaging winds.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - We continue to slowly warm back up to average after a cool midweek where highs stayed in the 70s. A few more clouds are overhead today, but we still expect some sun and highs near 80. This trend of dry and warm continues for the start of the weekend with highs in the low 80s under mostly sunny skies tomorrow. Our forecast will take a bit of a detour for Sunday and Monday however. The Next Big Change comes on Sunday and Monday as highs climb near 90.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - We have another cooler day on tap this afternoon. Highs only reached 73 degrees yesterday, and today will only be slightly warmer with highs in the mid 70s. High pressure remains in control for the rest of the week with sunny skies and calmer winds. The weekend forecast looks great with plenty of sunshine and warming temperatures. We will be back in the 80s between Friday and Saturday with highs climbing near 90 by Sunday.
