Is James Michael McAdoo A Vital Piece to the Golden State Warriors?
James Michael McAdoo is quickly becoming a vital piece to the Golden State Warriors. The Golden State Warriors are rolling, off to a 41-7 record, separating themselves from the rest of the league. This team is led by their all-stars but everyone is contributing to their success including some unlikely sources. Shaun Livingston, Andre Iguodala and JaVale McGee have been consistent off the bench but an additional player is really stepping up his game.
2017: The Year of Zaza Pachulia
No one exemplifies that more than Zaza Pachulia, who is trying to make 2017 his year. When the casual NBA viewer watches the Golden State Warriors, they see the team’s incredible talent. They probably see four of the best players in the NBA and one of the greatest teams ever assembled. Viewers are enamored by the Warriors’ shooting prowess and transition game. But this team is much more than a finesse offensive powerhouse, they are an intelligent, gritty, and physical squad.
Ian Clark Continues to Impress Off The Bench
Many pundits looked at the Golden State Warriors’ bench as a weakness. The Warriors lost Marreese Speights, Leandro Barbosa and other key substitutes all to free-agency. It left just Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala, remaining from their championship run. The Warriors needed someone to pick up the scoring load left by Speights and Barbosa. This season that player has been Ian Clark, who has impressed early, improving his shooting ability and playmaking skills.
Andre Iguodala is still the Warriors' most important bench player
On Thursday night against the Denver Nuggets, the Golden State Warriors gave us a glimpse into the future. They beat an up-and-coming team on the hardest back-to-back in the NBA, playing their best game of the season. The entire team is starting to click with the exception of Andre Iguodala. Iguodala has struggled early with his three-point shot and finishing at the rim. This has made many fans frustrated with his play.
JaVale McGee Is Not Your Ordinary 15th Man
Throughout the offseason, the top story for the Golden State Warriors was acquisition of Kevin Durant. This made them instant favorites to win their second championship in three years. The addition of Durant has made many pundits call the Warriors a “super team” and called it bad for basketball. One addition that may have went under the radar was signing of JaVale McGee. The Warriors signed him to a non-guaranteed contract in late July and made him their 15th man on Thursday.
Melanoma Differentiation-associated Gene 7/IL-24 Exerts Cytotoxic Effects by Altering the Alternative Splicing of Bcl-x Pre-mRNA via the SRC/PKCδ Signaling Axis
Melanoma differentiation-associated gene 7 (MDA-7/IL-24) exhibits cytotoxic effects on tumor cells while sparing untransformed cells, and Bcl-x(L) is reported to efficiently block the induction of cell death by MDA-7/IL-24. The expression of Bcl-x(L) is regulated at the level of RNA splicing via alternative 5′ splice site selection within exon 2 to produce either the pro-apoptotic Bcl-x(s) or the anti-apoptotic Bcl-x(L).
