My boy is beautiful. Article continues after advertisement I write this to remind myself. I remind myself because I am a hard man. I am a hard man because at some point in my life I chose to be. I can be intolerant, quick to anger, unforgiving, and therefore, seemingly irredeemable. I fear my hardness. I am past fifty, and my musculature, like my mind, is losing its flexibility. It’s more prone to fatigue and injury when exercised and slow to recover from exertion.
