China promised it will purchase 750 planes and also said it will buy as many as 450 engines, US President said. Speaking aboard Air Force One on his return from Beijing, Trump said China will go beyond its initial agreement to order 200 “big” Boeing jets. “If they do a good job with the 200, which I’m sure they will,” Trump said of Boeing.

Chief Executive Officer sidestepped questions about a potential merger with while acknowledging that the current climate of high costs and struggling rivals might offer opportunities for deals. Kirby said in an interview with Bloomberg TV’s that his goal is to “create a truly global airline that all US citizens can be proud of,” though he declined to say if a transformational deal would be part of that plan. At the same time, he revealed that he’s considered some possibilities.
