1 Introduction Goal setting is a commonly used behavior change technique for reaching desired health outcomes [1, 2] and is considered vital for behavior change [3-5]. Goals are defined as the objective of an action representing a desired state, and they usually have a time limit [6]. Goal setting theory, developed by Locke and Latham, emphasizes setting specific (rather than vague) goals and harder (rather than easier) goals, while still ensuring they are attainable [6, 7].
