Tommy’s Express has broken ground on its first Puerto Rico location, an automated car wash planned for the Cupey area of San Juan. The Holland, Michigan-based company said the facility, on PR-176, is expected to open in 2027. The location will use a dual-belt conveyor system designed to accommodate different types of vehicles. The company said customers will be able to watch the washing process through large bay windows and complete a wash in less than three minutes.

Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas will include Ponce in its inaugural itinerary, with port calls scheduled for March 31 and April 14, 2027, Puerto Rico tourism officials announced. The Icon-class ship, scheduled to enter service this year, can carry as many as 7,000 passengers and about 2,350 crew members. Officials described it as the world’s largest cruise ship.

Frontier Airlines will launch daily nonstop service between Puerto Rico’s Luis Muñoz Marín International (SJU) Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, Texas, on Dec. 17. The new route will bring the number of destinations Frontier serves from San Juan to 21, the airline said. Frontier is offering introductory one-way fares starting at $99. The promotional tickets must be purchased by July 20 and are subject to travel dates, blackout periods and other restrictions.
