1 INTRODUCTION Science teacher leaders (STLs) are key resources in supporting local implementation of science education improvement efforts (Luft et al., 2016; Wenner, 2017; Wenner & Campbell, 2017; Whitworth et al., 2021, 2022). As current or former classroom teachers, STLs have science knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge based on years of experience teaching science in local schools. They also understand how to navigate the available resources locally for their reform efforts.

DANE COUNTY–A Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy was injured in Festge County Park, located on Scherbel Road between Cross Plains and Black Earth, Thursday night when she responded to a call of a suspicious person in the park. In a social media post, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) said the suspect allegedly attacked the deputy with an “edged weapon.” She responded by firing her weapon during the altercation. The man then fled on foot.

MIDDLETON–After decades running a beer tent at the Good Neighbor Festival (GNF), the Middleton “Sonny” Simon VFW Post 8216 announced it would withdraw from the festival last week. Citing concerns over safety and inclement weather, the VFW, who is a founding member of GNF in 1964 sent an email to the Times-Tribune outlining why they wanted to back out.
