Driven by building codes, utility programs and decarbonization goals, more projects are shifting from gas-fired equipment to electric technologies such as air-source and water-source heat pumps, variable refrigerant flow systems and heat pump water heaters.

During the 2026 ASPE Convention & Expo in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma this fall, industry experts will present dynamic technical education sessions designed to increase the skills and career opportunities of attendees. In addition, each session provides 0.125 CEUs for licensing and certification requirements. The convention and expo will be held Oct. 8–14.

IAPMO has published the 2027 editions of the Uniform Plumbing Code and Uniform Mechanical Code in both hardcopy and electronic versions, completing a three-year consensus development cycle accredited by the American National Standards Institute.
