Statistical analysis Characteristics of the study population were described using proportions and stratified by vaccination status. Time until SARS-CoV-2 infection (both asymptomatic and symptomatic) or COVID-19 hospitalization was analyzed in 3 periods where the relevant variant accounted for at least 75% of all WGS RT-PCR confirmed cases: Alpha (February 20 to June 15, 2021), Delta (July 4 to November 20, 2021), and Omicron (December 21, 2021 to January 31, 2022) (Fig 1).
