More and more teams are starting to go with more of a ‘1A-1B’ goalie duo instead of clear cut No. 1 and a backup, so we might not see many goalies reach the 40-win mark moving forward. It’s not easy to win games in the NHL and it certainly isn’t easy to win 40 in a single season as a goalie, considering you don’t even play every single game on the calendar.
