The center is now scheduling patients for appointments.

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our longtime reporter and dear friend, Barbara Sherman, who left us after a brief illness. Barbara was one of the very first reporters to join Tualatin Life after publisher Michael Antonelli took on the publisher role nine years ago, and her steady presence, sharp reporting, and unwavering commitment have been central to who we are today.

Kathy Newcomb (pictured with Bob Newcomb) Oct. 25, 1931 — Nov. 14, 2025 Kathleen and her brother Michael were born and raised in California. Their Irish father and Russian mother immigrated to America, becoming U.S. citizens. After receiving a degree in psychology at U.C. Berkeley, Kathy married newspaper reporter Bob Newcomb. The two had three children, Andrea, Nancy and Thomas.
