Sacramento County public health officials will be holding a virtual forum tonight to answer community questions about the COVID vaccine and vaccination process. Public Health Officer Dr. Oliva Kasirye says anyone who lives in Sacramento County is eligible to participate. Sacramento County Public Health Immunization Program Manager Rachel Allen will also participate in the discussion.

Unemployment insurance claims are continuing to climb in California as public safety orders have led to tighter restrictions closing several businesses. According to data from the California Center for Jobs and the Economy, the total number of claims have increased by more than 380,000 since the beginning of the pandemic in March to the first week of December.
