DERWENT Valley Mayor Michelle Dracoulis has sensationally accused Derwent MLC and Legislative Council President Craig Farrell (pictured above) of bullying and a "gross abuse of power." Racetrack rivals go head to head

The future of New Norfolk’s Kensington Park racetrack becomes clearer this week, as the Derwent Valley Council considers two multi-million-dollar offers for the property. Both offers, one private and one from the State Government, envisage a significant housing subdivision on the 8.4ha council-owned site. Further, Kensington Park may be just the first part of a larger housing development in the area, one that also incorporates land both to its east, and to its south.

Woolies’ upgrade keeps the customers satisfied

Changes are coming to the Woollies in New Norfolk, what they call in the supermarket business ‘a renewal’, essentially a refresh of key parts of a store’s operation. It’s only the third Woolworths supermarket in the state to undergo the update, and will add an auxiliary building on the George Street site and with that, additional jobs. For store manager, Alli Batge, the biggest change coming to New Norfolk is the operations of the deli.
