The following is Pennington's report from Dec. 14. It gets a little harder each month to write a narrative on our housing market. The numbers are so incredible that really pretty much speak for themselves. Ada County's average resale sales price is $416,801 for the year.

Dinosaur footprints discovered on Scottish isle
DOZENS of stegosaur footprints have been discovered on a Scottish island, as scientists uncover one of the world’s oldest fossil sites. Around 50 newly identified footprints on the Isle of Skye have helped scientists confirm that stegosaurs would have roamed there around 170 million years ago. The site on the island’s north-east coast contains a mixture of footprints, and reveals that dinosaurs on Skye were more diverse than previously thought.

Lunt Meadows
Around 8000 years ago as Britain was becoming the island that we recognise today the earliest people living here were hunter-gatherers in what is known as the Mesolithic period. Evidence for where they lived is widespread in Britain and many sites have been archaeologically excavated. However, good surviving evidence for how these people lived is restricted to a very few sites.

Comar Wood
12th January 2018: Archaeologists are probing an ancient mystery uncovered by workers deep in a Highland forest. The crumbling ruins are believed to have been an Iron Age fort, or possibly the home of a local chief or lord, and date back to about 2,400 years ago. The site was known about from a survey taken in the 1940s, but had been forgotten about until it was spotted by loggers clearing the land.

Is root + full internet access within a docker container an acceptable risk?
I recently was trying to solve a negative lookahead regex problem, and stumbled on a site called runnable.com... It's got example code, and you can run the code in a linux shell... as root (with full internet access). I was shocked. I'm still not sure I understand how this is a good idea: I wrote them an email about my questions, but they did not respond. In principle, is running an exposed http-accessible root shell in docker an acceptable security risk?
