What was your first job as a journalist?
My first full-time job was with the old New Hampshire weekly -- the Rochester Courier -- as a staff writer covering schools & planning board.

Oh, yes, in high school and college, just before the advent of computers.

Why did you become a journalist?
I have always enjoyed writing, and early on I had an interest in newspapers and, in particular, sports -- so journalism was my path.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I really enjoyed the series on the old Austin-Cate Academy hoop teams.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Do all you can to cover as much as you can so you can write as much as you can, and do as many different sports as possible.
What's your favorite drink?
Sebago Runaround Red Ale
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Reading or walking.
