When it comes to handling trophies, Reece James knows what to do. Plenty of experience means he’s got his technique down pat: “When I was a kid, I won many trophies,” says James, reclining on his sofa at home. “You get with the team, get in position… then lift.” Last July, on a baking hot afternoon in New Jersey, he did exactly that as Chelsea captain after his team won the Club World Cup inside the MetLife Stadium, which will also play host to this summer’s FIFA World Cup final.
