Windows 10 support for WSL Containers has been confirmed, meaning users can run Linux containers through WSL without Docker Desktop, as Windows Latest writes. Microsoft confirmed that WSL Containers, also called WSLc, works anywhere WSL currently runs. That includes Windows 10 version 2004, Build 19041, or newer. The confirmation matters because early discussion around WSLc created confusion about whether the feature would require Windows 11 or arrive as part of a future WSL 3 release.

Microsoft is testing a new Outlook warning that alerts users when they reply to an older email while a newer message already exists in the same conversation thread, as spotted by Windows Latest. The feature is being tested in the new Outlook for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft’s roadmap indicates that testing began around July 7, with rollout expected by the end of August 2026. The warning will be enabled by default and will also come to Outlook.com.

TypeScript 7.0 release is now public, and Microsoft says the new version is production-ready after months of preview testing. The release follows TypeScript 6.0, which arrived in March 2026 and focused mainly on cleanup work. With TypeScript 7.0, Microsoft shifts the focus back to performance, editor responsiveness, and larger project workflows. Microsoft says TypeScript 7.0 runs significantly faster than TypeScript 6.0 in several key development workflows.
