Baxter City Council member Connie Lyscio has announced her decision to not seek re-election after first being elected in 2018. In addition to her time as a councilor, Lyscio spent over three decades teaching in the Brainerd School District. Lyscio hopes to return to her educational roots, as she also announced her plans to run for a position on the Brainerd School Board this year. As one door closes, Lyscio hopes that she can continue to contribute to the Brainerd Lakes Area community.
