1 Introduction Mid-story seismic isolation (MSI) is an emerging technique for seismic resilience characterized by an isolation system located at an intermediate height of a structure, and not at the base as for base isolated structures. This technique is gaining interest due to a series of benefits [1] and, depending on the characteristics of the building, can be more advantageous than conventional base isolation [2-4].
