1. Introduction With the continuous improvement of public living standards and the rapid growth of motor vehicle ownership, motor vehicles have become one of the major sources of fine particulate matter pollution in large and medium-sized cities worldwide. According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Public Security, as of the end of June 2024, the number of motor vehicles in China had reached 440 million, with fuel-powered vehicles accounting for approximately 78.41%.
