SIRT2-mediated deacetylation of ANT3 at Lys96 promotes cell death
Abstract ANT3 is a key molecule that constitutes the mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP) and mediates cell death. Disruption or conformational changes in ANT3 protein homeostasis can trigger cell death. However, the molecular mechanism of ANT3 protein homeostasis regulation remains unclear.
Phosphorylation of OTUB1 promotes autophagy initiation under starvation
Abstract Eukaryotes initiate autophagy in response to environmental challenges such as nutrient deprivation. However, the mechanisms governing autophagy initiation remain incompletely understood. Here, we demonstrated that OTUB1 phosphorylation plays a key role in starvation-induced autophagy initiation. Specifically, ERK phosphorylates OTUB1 at S118 during starvation.
Weighted estimation of multiple regions in CT-derived images of the pubic symphysis for age estimation using a deep learning framework with R-Mixup augmentation
Abstract Deep learning has been widely used for forensic age estimation based on CT-derived images, and data volume is critical to enhancing the model performance. However, traditional data augmentation such as flipping, rotating, and adjusting contrast is not well-suited for regression tasks like age estimation. This study applied a data augmentation, R-Mixup to DenseNet121 training for age estimation from CT-derived images of the pubic symphysis.
Silencing TMED2 suppresses cell growth and tumor progression in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma via inducing G0/G1 cell cycle arrest
Abstract Background: Transmembrane Emp24 Domain Containing 2 (TMED2) is involved in various cancers, but its role in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) remains unclear. This study investigated TMED2’s expression, biological functions, and underlying mechanisms in DLBCL. Methods: TMED2 expression was analyzed in DLBCL patient samples and cell lines by qRT-PCR and Western blot (WB). Lentiviral shRNA-mediated knockdown of TMED2 was performed in SUDHL-4 and OCI-LY10 DLBCL cells.
Local delivery of IL-15 and anti-PD-L1 nanobody by in vitro-transcribed circILNb elicits superior antitumor immunity in cold tumors
Keywords circCV-B3 circILNb biotin-avidin purification system IL-15 anti-PD-L1 nanobody tumor immunotherapy Introduction Immunotherapies have revolutionized the clinical paradigm of tumor treatment. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) that target PD-1/PD-L1 continue to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for monotherapy and combination therapy of tumor.1,2 Nevertheless, the clinical benefits of these approaches in patients with advanced tumor have been limited.

Machine learning-based biomarker screening for acute myeloid leukemia prognosis and therapy from diverse cell-death patterns - Scientific Reports
Abstract Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) exhibits pronounced heterogeneity and chemotherapy resistance. Aberrant programmed cell death (PCD) implicated in AML pathogenesis suggests PCD-related signatures could serve as biomarkers to predict clinical outcomes and drug response.
Competitive Method-Based Electrochemiluminescent Assay for Ratio Detection to Efficiently Monitor Drug Resistance of Cancer Cells
An simple and high-efficient approach to monitor the expression of P-glycoprotein (P-gp) in cells was urgent to estimate the drug resistance of cancer cells.
