INTRODUCTION Jacquet erosive dermatitis (JED) is a rare severe form of napkin dermatitis, characterised by multiple punched-out erosions and ulcers with raised borders. The genital and perianal regions are commonly affected. The use of disposable nappies that retain moisture and overhydrate the skin causes a sensitivity that promotes irritation by ammonia in urine and faecal enzymes.
