Positively and negatively. The social media has given power to the powerless and echoed the concerns of the voiceless. But the social media can also be a tool for propagandists and populists.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
Journalism has been misconceived as the ability to publish recent news. However, that's false. A journalist is meant to be an unbiased voice in a world filled with untrue sentiments and heartbreaking lies.

Why did you become a journalist?
To speak against power when power is corrupt; debunk petty lies when pettiness becomes the trend; and expose the truth regardless of public opinion.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No. However, I served as the Secretary of the Action Committee, a left movement established to protect the interest of students.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Do it for the passion. If you are looking for a "get rich quick" career, journalism is the wrong field for you.
