Conferences OEGlobal Open Education Open Learning In a previous post, we mentioned that the Open Education Global (OEGlobal) consortium will be holding its 2026 conference this October, in a hybrid in-person/online format co-hosted by MIT Open Learning along with the Massachusetts Open & Low-Cost Educational Resources Advisory Council (OLERAC). To understand the close relationship between MIT Open Learning and OEGlobal, it helps to have some historic context.

This is a season that celebrates the strange, the dark, the eerie, the creepy, and the weird. The disciplines of science, technology, and engineering may not seem to have much to offer to devotees of Halloween, but a closer look at the MIT curriculum suggests that the world is not as straightforward, rational, and prosaic a place after all.
