Former FBI Director James Comey added six new lawyers Monday to his defense team in a North Carolina federal prosecution. He faces charges of threatening President Donald Trump with a 2025 social media post. Comey's defense team now includes Michael Dreeben, a former US deputy solicitor general who has argued more than 100 cases before the US Supreme Court. Comey faces a Sept. 30 arraignment in New Bern before US District Judge Louise Flanagan.
