4. Results and Discussion This article presents an approach as to how hybrid manufacturing can be used to produce a tool using blown-powder DED by additively manufacturing it in a horizontal configuration. This work addresses the current size limitations in LBPF, and wire DED’s inability to print overhung structures. The CFD simulation results are shown in Figure 4 with a cross-section taken at the center of the mold geometry.
