Madison Gray’s Biography

I could tell you some corny-ass corporate sounding story about how I started in one place, accomplished, this or that.

But that ain't who I am. I'm looking for compelling stories to tell and compelling ways to tell them.

Everyone else wants to follow orders, but I'm out to change the game.

Oh yeah, I'm from Detroit, so I can smell a phony a mile away. Square business.

What was your first job as a journalist?

A $6.50 per hour internship at Automotive News in Detroit. Low pay, but I learned to drive a stick shift.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yeah, I'm old enough to have used a typewriter, old enough to have belonged to a breakdancing crew, but still too young to remember Hendrix.

How is social media changing news?

For the better; it's giving us a more efficient way of gathering and sharing news. For the worse; it's killing the art of reporting.
