Submitted: 16 September 2026 Posted: 17 September 2026 You are already at the latest version The 26 May 2026, Mw 4.5 Jalalpur earthquake, Pakistan, caused considerable damages around its epicentre. Investigations indicated a VII maximum intensity of the Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI) scale, diminishing rapidly away from the source.
1. Introduction Liquid Composite Moulding (LCM) stands out as a pivotal process in the fabrication of Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) structures. Despite the existence of alternative manufacturing methods [1,2,3], the traditional closed mould LCM process remains highly favoured in sophisticated applications, such as the production of maritime wind turbine blades, boats, aerospace components, etc. A schematic of a typical LCM process is shown in Figure 1.
The tectonic framework of the 2019 Mirpur seismic sequence was investigated using local seismic data. Moment tensor inversion was performed for the Mirpur mainshock (Mw=5.8) and its largest aftershock (Mw=4.7). The mainshock exhibited a low dip angle (~10°) and shallow focal depth, suggesting association with the Main Frontal Thrust (MFT). Contrary, the largest aftershock showed a comparatively higher dip angle, indicating deformation along a ramp or ramp-anticline structure.
