Abstract This study investigated the efficacy of supplementation with B vitamins and magnesium in alleviating fatigue, improving disease activity, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) based on patient-reported outcomes. In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 98 adults with IBD in remission were randomized (1:1) to receive daily supplementation with vitamins B1, B6, B12, and magnesium or a matching placebo for 4 weeks.

Abstract Background Vitamin D concentrations are linked to body composition indices, particularly body fat mass. Relationships between hypovitaminosis D and obesity, described by both BMI and waist circumference, have been mentioned. We have investigated the effect of a 12-week vitamin D3 supplementation on anthropometric indices in healthy overweight and obese women.

Abstract Background Obesity has reached an alarming rate worldwide. Promoting thermogenesis via increasing the function of brown adipose tissue (BAT) or white adipose tissue (WAT) browning has been proposed as a new protective approach against obesity. The goal of this study was to evaluate the effects of Royal Jelly (RJ) and tocotrienol rich fraction (TRF) on BAT activation and WAT browning during calorie restriction diet (CRD) in obesity model.
