I've tried this cake before, and after the second time, I still don't feel like it lives up to the hype. The cake layers were pretty dry, but the smooth Chantilly cream helps make up for it. Though the ingredient list mentions raspberry syrup and puree, I couldn't seem to taste or find either. A few berries were added to the layers, with a thin layer of cream between each.

While there are certainly occasions for elaborate desserts such as cream puffs, eclairs, or even a multi-layer black forest cake, sometimes you want something a bit simpler. In that moment, there's nothing more satisfying than a sweet and classic vanilla cupcake. The only problem? They typically contain eggs, milk, and butter, so they definitely don't fit into a vegan diet. They don't fit into a vegan diet until now, that is.
