Writer, actor and comedian Jordan Firstman’s directorial debut, “Club Kid,” made waves at this year’s Cannes International Film Festival. The film received a six-minute-long standing ovation at its premiere, and was one of the first to be acquired by a major studio, A24, which won a bidding war with Netflix and Mubi.

(Sugar Grove, IL.) – Visiting Moraine Valley Community College upset Waubonsee Community College women's volleyball team on Wednesday evening. The Cyclones (6-9, 3-2) stunned the Chiefs (15-13, 3-2) by sweeping their Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) match in Waubonsee's Field House. Waubonsee came out flat and allowed Moraine Valley to grab momentum early on, which they never relinquished it on the way to winning 25-14, 25-18 and 25-21.

(Sugar Grove, IL) –Waubonsee Community College women's volleyball team swept McHenry County College in three straight games to win their 2025 home opener. The Chiefs (4-5, 1-0) took the opener 25-16 and held on for a 25-23 in game two. Waubonsee then finished off the Scots (1-5, 0-2) by taking game three 25-17 to win the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference match-up in the Chiefs' Field House.
