Effects of Curcumin on P-Glycoprotein Expression The MCF-7R cellular model utilized in this study derives from the parental sensitive MCF-7 cell through repeated exposure to gradually increasing concentrations of doxorubicin. This treatment causes constitutive activation of the NF-κB transcription factor, an overexpression of P-gp and other typical factors related to apoptosis inhibition [13,14,15].
