Don't Kick the Can on Leaf Blowers in Greenwich
To the Editor; How many times on a beautiful day have you been unable to enjoy your own backyard because the sound and fumes from gas leaf blowers (GLBs) drove you indoors? And how many times has the noise and particulates spewed out from GLBs pursued you indoors, penetrating through walls and windows? Did you know that two states and over 200 towns nationwide have already banned or restricted the use of GLBs?

I appreciate the work and service of the Greenwich Police Department. I also support the concept and work of unions. A favorite movie is “Norma Rae,” with Oscar-winning actress Sally Field in the title role.
Op-ed: ‘Children are not partisan’
Thank you for Friday’s editorial “Inertia: another killer of children.” There is another form of inertia in addition to our neutered Congress — which except for a few senators and representatives with the integrity and decency to stand up to the NRA and not accept money — our own. Citizens have more power than we are using.
