Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes, but that was way before I was a journalist.
How is social media changing news?
Social media is definitely changing the speed by which the news reaches all around the world.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means the right to voice and share your opinion and story with the world, without being persecuted.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I mostly use Open Office and Wordpress.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter.
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist because I love to write and I can't imagine doing anything else.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Unfortunately, we didn't have one!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I am really proud of the book I am currently working on.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write, write, write, write.
What's your favorite drink?
A soy latte with hazelnut syrup.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I enjoy reading the Dutch Koninklijke Geschiedenis magazine.
