Monroe have levies

Three measures are on the ballot in Kingsville, including renewals of two measures to help maintain township roads and bridges: a 1.5-mill levy and a 4-mill levy, both with five-year lifespans. The 1.5-mill measure would raise about $30,000 annually, while the 4-mill would collect an estimated $120,000 per year, said Dennis Huey, township trustee. Both are used to purchase road material and supplies and buy and maintain vehicles, he said.
