The southwesterly flow continues over the Pacific Northwest as a nearly stationary low remains in the Gulf of Alaska. Pieces of energy (instability) and moisture continue moving across the Oregon Blues providing a chance for hit or miss thunderstorms through Wednesday. The fire danger will increase in the Blues due to the potential for lightning strike fires. A warming trend arrives tomorrow in the southerly flow pushing our highs into the upper 90s-low 100s Tuesday-Thursday.

The weather looks great for Water Follies with plenty of sunshine, lighter winds and highs in the low 90s. Sunday a closed low develops in the Gulf of Alaska producing a south to southwesterly flow over the region. This flow will push some limited moisture and some weak instability into the Blue, resulting in a slight chance for afternoon/evening thunderstorms Sunday and Monday.
