On a bitter cold Saturday evening in January, EDM fans from across the Greater Houston area descended on 713 Music Hall. The reason? To catch Canadian DJ/producer Rezz at her first Houston show in nearly four years. Halfway through her six-date As The Pendulum Swings Tour and fresh off the release of her album of the same name, the 30 year old artist brought the bass to the Bayou City.

Most bands don’t emerge onto the stage out of a rocket ship, but most bands aren’t Weezer. Donned in NASA-style flight suits, the LA-based quartet were welcomed to the stage by a nearly full Toyota Center, before immediately launching into a 90+ minute set. Formed in southern California in early 1992, Weezer has become one of the standout acts of the ‘90s.

Stadium shows always feel special. It starts before you even walk in the door, seeing thousands of other fans walking from their cars, pedal-cabs weaving down streets playing your favorite songs, and throngs of people gathering on the sidewalks. Once you reach your seat and are greeted with the vast expanse of a sporting venue, you truly feel like you’re a part of something.
