Poor and dangerous working conditions are a daily fact of life for millions of women workers worldwide. Harassment and gender-based violence are pervasive practices affecting millions of women across the world. A recent survey in Europe found that 75 per cent of women in management and 61 per cent of women in service sector occupations have experienced some form of sexual harassment in their lifetime. Another recent survey in Egypt indicated that harassment impacts over 80% of Egyptian women.
