Sony and wholly-owned subsidiary Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, will reopen and restore the Cinerama Dome, officially designated a Los Angeles Historical Cultural Monument, in the heart of Hollywood following a six-year shutdown that began during the COVID pandemic and continued through parent company Pacific Theaters declaration of bankruptcy.
‘Swapped’ Enters Netflix’s All-Time Top 10 List
"Swapped" has swapped into the Netflix top 10. The animated feature, from Netflix and Skydance Animation, has knocked the Russo Brothers' "The Gray Man" out of the all-time Netflix original film top 10, with 139.8 million views. "Swapped," directed by the legendary Nathan Greno and featuring the voices of Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple, arrived on the service on May 1.
Disney Lays Off Hundreds of Staffers, Pixar Hit Hard
The iconic Pixar ball has a little less air in it. A new round of layoffs hit Disney on Tuesday morning, impacting several hundred employees across corporate functions, ESPN, Disney Entertainment Television and Disney Studios, a Disney spokesperson told TheWrap. The Emeryville, California-based animation studio is being hit the hardest in the company's studios business, TheWrap understands. On the DET side, National Geographic is expected to be hit the hardest.

Marvel’s Publishing Arm to Relocate to California
