Chattanooga Red Wolves pick up three points with 1-0 road win at Westchester SC
The Chattanooga Red Wolves got back in the win column on Wednesday, with a 1-0 win on the road at Westchester SC. The hosts were aggressive early on. In the first five minutes, a Westchester press and multiple deflections earned them four courners in a row. However, Chattanooga was able to deny each opportunity. The Wolf Pack were handed two yellow cards, while Westchester SC received four.

Mt. Vernon, IL Business Destroyed By Fire
A fire Saturday morning has destroyed a Mt. Vernon, IL business, and the State Fire Marshall’s Office was called in to investigate the cause. Reports indicated Jefferson County fire officials were called to the Phoenix Tops company on the east side of Mt. Vernon, and upon arrival in the 400 block of Meadowbrook, flames were coming through the garage door. A track hoe was brought in to remove the roof and most of the walls of the business still standing to help fight the fire.

Once deemed ‘sexually violent,’ Wonder Lake man now free from monitoring program
A Wonder Lake man who served prison time after being convicted in 2007 for sexually abusing a teenager, then deemed sexually violent and held longer in a treatment facility, is now free of supervision. McHenry County Judge James Cowlin granted a petition Wednesday filed by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office allowing the release of Guy Wilson, 64, without further monitoring by the Illinois Department of Human Services.

‘Journey to the Other Side of the World’
Eight years ago, I, Randy Steele, was preaching on a normal Sunday morning. However, that Sunday morning changed my life in a dramatical way. On this particular Sunday we had a first time visitor who serves as a missionary in Tanzania, Africa. Of course, the church has had many missionaries visit over the years, but that day something changed. One of the elders of the church family called for the church to pray over this visiting missionary.

However, you can continue to apply for a replacement Social Security card online and by mail. Before requesting a replacement card, please remember that you might not need the physical card.
