Here’s a quick question. Are you afraid of change? That question should be what every Pacers fan asked themselves following Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. A team rarely goes from the blistering high of being four quarters away from an NBA Championship to the soul-crushing low of not only losing said game, but losing out on contention for at least the following season as well. Unfortunately, that is how the 2025 Indiana Pacers went down.

The Smashing Machine ★★★★½ Liked This review may contain spoilers. I came into this film with reasonably high expectations, probably the highest expectations I've ever had for a Dwayne Johnson movie. And I'm happy to say my expectations were exceeded. Dwayne does a fantastic job transforming into Mark Kerr for this film. He must have studied Kerr's mannerisms and voice for hours on end to try and get it perfect because he nailed it, even down to changing his natural speaking voice a bit.

If you told me one week into December, when the Pacers held a 10-15 record, that they would somehow find themselves in the NBA Finals, I’d call you insane. Every metric says that the Pacers should not be here; that they should have been bounced in the Conference Finals, if not the second round, yet they find themselves knotted up with the Oklahoma City Thunder one game apiece heading back to Indiana.
