Abstract Sabkha soils, widely distributed in arid coastal regions, are characterized by high salinity, metastable structure, and low bearing capacity, posing significant challenges for geotechnical applications. Although sustainable stabilization methods have been increasingly explored, the application of alkali-activated waste glass powder (WGP) to highly saline sabkha soils, with emphasis on linking engineering performance to microstructural characteristics, remains insufficiently investigated.

Abstract Poly (lactic acid) (PLA) is a bio-based polymer derived from renewable resources; however, its intrinsic brittleness and low ductility limit its wider application in engineering materials. In this study, the strength ductility balance of PLA was systematically improved through a multi-component design strategy involving polyoxymethylene (POM) blending, Joncryl ADR reactive compatibilization, and graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) reinforcement.

Abstract The production of high-strength concrete (HSC) remains heavily dependent on cement and natural sand, despite the urgent need to reduce the carbon footprint of construction materials. Meanwhile, substantial quantities of palm oil fuel ash (POFA) and coal bottom ash (CBA) remain underutilized, and most existing studies treat ultrafine metakaolin (UFM), heated POFA (HPOFA), or CBA in isolation rather than as an integrated eco-concrete system.
