3. Discussion In this work, we investigated the effects of δT3 and αTF supplementation on modulation of plasma miRNA expression in patients with NAFLD. We found a significant downregulation (>2-fold; p < 0.05) in the expression of all the tested miRNAs during the course of intervention as compared to baseline. On comparison of the two groups, there were no significant differences (p > 0.05) in the downregulation of miR-122, miR-21, miR-103a-2 and miR-421.
