1 Introduction Antimicrobial resistance has become a critical global problem threatening human health. Failure to effectively address antimicrobial resistance is projected to result in significant economic losses, reduced productivity and 100 million deaths by 2050 (A. Rahman et al. 2024). Polymyxin (colistin, etc.) is employed as a ‘last line’ for treating infections resulting from carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (Wu et al. 2024).
