1 Introduction The global population of older adults is growing at an unprecedented rate. The number of individuals aged 65 and older is expected to increase from 9.3% in 2020 to 16.0% by 2050, with over 1.5 billion older adults projected worldwide [1]. This demographic shift presents significant challenges for healthcare systems worldwide. In Nigeria, the number of individuals aged 60 and above is projected to grow from over 9 million in 2016 to 26 million by 2050 [2].
