Abstract To compare the clinical characteristics, treatment outcomes, and prognostic factors of macular serpiginous choroiditis (SC) and macular serpiginous-like choroiditis (SLC). This retrospective multicentre study included 30 eyes of 25 patients with macular SC or SLC. All patients underwent detailed ophthalmic evaluation, including OCT, fundus autofluorescence (FAF), and fluorescein angiography. Atrophic and hyperautofluorescent FAF areas were quantitatively assessed using ImageJ.

July 5, 2025 | Ophthalmology A 35-year-old male patient with blurred vision in both eyes since childhood has been diagnosed with foveaschisis at the age of 14. The patient had 5 brothers, all reported to have similar retinal problems. His best-corrected visual acuity was 4/10 in both eyes. Fundus examination showed retinoschisis in the lower temporal quadrants in both eyes, pigmented laser scars in the same area in the right eye, and a dull foveal reflex was observed in both eyes.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: To evaluate early treatment outcomes of half-time photodynamic therapy (PDT) in patients with central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC). PATIENTS AND METHODS: The anatomical and functional results were assessed for 24 eyes of 23 patients with CSC treated with half-time PDT in this prospective case series.
