Pembrolizumab induced severe sclerodermoid reaction

Pembrolizumab, an anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD 1) humanized antibody, has been approved for the treatment of metastatic melanoma [1, 2], non-small cell lung carcinoma [3, 4] and head and neck cancers [5]; and is being investigated in other cancers. We describe a case of severe sclerodermoid reaction with pembrolizumab causing significant morbidity, demonstrating a gradual resolution with a prolonged course of oral steroids.
