Millions of people across the world watched Ex-Director James Comey’s recent testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee. They may have also absorbed news articles comparing Mr. Comey’s prepared Statement, his testimony, and the timing and contents of Donald J. Trump’s tweets. They have heard the perspectives from all sides of the issue on whether or not Mr. Trump knowingly conspired to obstruct justice.

Evaluation of healthcare provision is essential in the ongoing assessment and consequent quality improvement of medical services. Traditionally, assessments have ignored the reports of patients in preference to technical and physiological reports of outcome.

Objective: To determine what aspects of healthcare provision are most likely to influence satisfaction with care and willingness to recommend hospital services to others and, secondly, to explore the extent to which satisfaction is a meaningful indicator of patient experience of healthcare services. Design: Postal survey of a sample of patients who underwent a period of inpatient care.
